Intent of use:
Give your old turntable chassis a complete new look, with this noble plinth, made of solid wood.
This plinth can be used for the following Dual turntables:
502, 504, 505, 506, 510, 521, 522, 601, 604, 606, 621, 622, 701, 704, 721, 1241, 1242, 1245, 1246, 1249, 1264
The Dual 1219 and 1229 are not compatible with this plinth!
If you have installed a different cartridge in your turntable, which is much heavier than the original type, you might have troubles with the counter balance weight. In some rare cases it could hit the hinges of the plinth. Critical models are especially 704 and 721 with their relatively long balance weights. In this case, you might add some additional lead plates at the lower side of the Anti-Resonator weight.
Design features:
The outside frame is made of massive walnut wood, perfectly and professional machined. The surface is fine grinded. The surface finish is wax-oil. Picture 4 shows the plinth with an installed Dual 606. The Dual 606 is not included in the delivery content!
The middle layer, which carries the springs and transpot locks of the turntable, is precisely milled with CNC machines. It is made of black MDF material. The material for the bottom plate is also black MDF. It contents a cable outlet with cable fixture at the rear bottom side, refer also picture 3.
The dust cover Dual CH170 (Dual # 288660) and the hinges (Dual #279005) are also included in the delivery content, as show in pictures 1-3.
