Description:
The Dualfred TKS-OM5E is a modified Ortofon OM5E cartridge. The top plate is a replica of the original TKS-mount. So it fits directly to the above mentioned Dual turntable models. The TKS-mount plate is made of the high tech plastic material POM on a CNC milling machine. So it has much higher strength than the original Dual part. This is not a cheap 3D-printed part! The contact pins to the tonearm head are made of gold plated brass material. This creates very low and long term stable contact resistance values.
Cartridge height and stylus position of the Dualfred TKS-cartridges are exactly the same like the original Dual TKS-Types. There is no adjustment of the cartrige position necessary. The mass is ~3.1 gramms, which is the same as the original Dual TKS-cartridges with Ortofon bodies.
The technical data are the same as the original Ortofon OM5E, except weight and dimensions. It is possible to install all Ortofon OM-series stylus to the TKS-OM5E. So the spare stylus support is non critical. The usage of higher grade stylus of the Ortofon OM-series offers a simple upgrade opportunity.
